Polish 'wz.68' aka 'Moro/Mora' was the most iconic piece of Polish People's Army (LWP), 'Mora' replaced wz.58 'Rain' camouflage in 1969 and saw use up to early 2000s. Name 'Mora' supposedly comes from 'Materiałowa odzież roboczo-ochronna' (Workwear Protective Textile Clothing).
This hypothesis would explain why 'Mora' has rather bad camouflaging properties, but hides well any dust or grease stains. Another hypotesis is that it was supposed to blend well into post-nuclear winter in Fulda Gap, or during the night and I'm an author of it.
'Mora' was popular and widely-used pattern despite the flaws. It was so popular, that to this day in Poland word 'Moro' in every-day language stands for 'camouflage'.
