East German 'KdA' winter set
This winter uniform, was worn by 'Combat Groups of the Working Class' (KdA) in East Germany. 'KdA' was a paramilitary militia of 'GDR Socialist' Party, consisted of highly motivated and 'ideological' members. Created shortly, after events of '1953 Uprising' in 'GDR'. Their main task was to fight civil unrest and 'enemies of socialism'. They also served as potential 'reserve' in case of invasion, fun fact is that 'KdA' helped and guarded the construction of 'Berlin Wall'.
'KdA' unifom is different from 'NVA' (East German Army), instead of 'Strichtarn' pattern, the uniforms were 'olive green', along with 'kepi' like hats and 'Red Banner' patch on left arm.
- Issued condition (No tears, missing one button on left arm pocket).
- No 'Red Banner' patch included.
- Set consists of quillet winter jacket and pants.
- Two internal chest pockets, two side pockets and two arm pockets in jacket.
- Two sets of pockets in pants and two side pockets.
- Used by 'KdA' militia in 'GDR'.
- Olive Green colour.
